Varjo VR-1

Finland-based Varjo's VR-1 is a high-end VR headset that uses the company's Foveated Display technology - that optically combines a microdisplay over a larger display - to achieve high angular resolution in a small area in the center of the display.

The VR-1 uses two OLED displays - a Sony 0.7" ECX335AF-7 1920x1080 OLED microdisplay and a 1440x1600 low persistence AMOLED. They call the combined display a "Bionic Display". Other features include eye tracking and support for several 3D engines, including Unreal, Unity and VRED.

nreal AR glasses

China-based nreal's AR glasses, unveiled at CES 2019, provide high quality 52-degree FOV images in a relatively small and normal-looking frame that weighs just 85 grams. Initial prototypes adopted Sony's FHD 0.7" OLED microdisplays (ECX335AF-7), but according to reports the commercial units use BOE's OLED microdisplays.

The AR glasses require a cable to a processor box that also connects magnetically to a round motion controller. The processor is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and other features of the AR glasses include 360-degree sound, built-microphones and sensors that provide six degrees of freedom.

Samsung HMD Odyssey+

Samsung's Odyssey+ is a Windows Mixed Reality HMD that features dual 3.5" AMOLED displays (1440x1600 each), Samsung's new Anti-Screen Door Effect (Anti SDE) technology, AKG audio and pre-paired controllers.

StarVR One

StarVR's One is a VR headset that features dual 4.77" 2440x1080 90hz AMOLED displays with a wide FOV (210-degree horizonal, 130-degree vertical). Other features include integrated Tobii eye tracking with IPD measurement, Dynamic Foveated Rendering, USB Type-C connectors and SteamVR tracking.
