Yeolight supplies OLED lighting taillights for new cars by Hongqi, JunYao and Nissan

China-based Yeolight is making excellent inroads into the local automotive market in China. Several new car models launched lately, using the company's OLED taillight solutions.

First up we have the Nissan N7, this is a China-bound EV mid-size sedan that will be produced by Nissan for the Chinese market through the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture.

The new car is the 2024 Hongqi H9. This luxury sedan uses Yeolight's digital OLED solution, that offers five different lighting signatures. Hongqi already adopted Yeolight's OLED taillights in its its 2020 H9.

Finally, we have the JunYao Air (also know as Jixiang Air), which is JunYao's Auto first car. This is a electric car, that sports red OLED taillights. JunYao aims to ship it in  2025.

A few weeks ago Yeolight confirmed it is also the supplier of OLED taillights for Voyah's international all-electric Zhiyin SUV.

Last year Yeolight started to install equipment at its $111 million 4.5-Gen OLED lighting fab in Huaibei City, Anhui Province. Yeolight says that the new fab, when complete, will have a capacity of around 7 million panels in a year, or 1.2 million automotive lighting modules (probably referring to rear light modules). This will be the world's largest OLED lighting fab, when complete.

This is excellent news for Yeolight, and perhaps for the whole of the OLED lighting industry, as there are finally positive signs of adoption in the automotive industry, beyond very high-end premium models. Our OLED Toolbox provides a comprehensive guide into automotive OLEDs, both lighting and displays, and is an invaluable tool to get ready for next stages of the OLED industry.
