So the 2009 holiday season is almost here - and obviously you'd like a new gadget with an OLED display. So what are your options?

OLED TVs

Sadly, there aren't that many OLED TVs around as we'd hope for. Sony is still selling the XEL-1 (at around $2,200) - but you should hurry, as they have stopped the production line, and will soon stop offering this TV. Your other option is LG's 15" OLED TV - but this is currently available in Korea only, for around $2600. It's probably best to wait a few years before actually buying an OLED TV...

Mobile phones

There are many OLED phones you can choose from... it seems that every week Samsung releases yet another smartphone with a large touch OLED. Samsung currently offers dozens of models - including the Impression, the Moment, the Behold II, the Omnia II and the Jet. Nokia is offering the N86 and even HP recently announced an OLED phone - the iPAQ Glisten.

Digital Cameras

Compared to mobile phones, there are very little OLED digital cameras around... There's the Samsung TL320 and the NV24HD, and also Nikon's new S70 - with a large touch AMOLED, 12Mp sensor and 5X optical zoo.

Nikon has reduced the price of the S70 camera from 366$ to 260$.

The Nikon S70 has 5X optical zoom, 12.1Mp, Optical Vibration Reduction and can record 720p HD movies. The display is a 3.5" touch OLED. The S70 now costs 260$. 

Inbrics have announced a new Android MID to launch in the US in 2010. It includes a touch-AMOLED, ARM Cortex A8 processor, QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, GPS, digital cmpass and DMB digital TV.

Amazon now lists the Samsung Moment for only $79.99 - with a new Sprint plan, down from $179.99. It can also be bought without a plan (for $430).

The Moment has a 3.2" touch OLED, full QWERTY slider, 3.2mp camera,
microSDHC slot, Wi-Fi and GPS. It runs Google's Android OS (on a 800Mhz
processor).

It has a 5" OLED capacitive touchscreen, Wi-Fi, 8Mp camera, and an optional 3G model. There's also a version with an LCD.

The Samsung Moment is now available for the US Sprint network. The phone has a 3.2" touch OLED, full QWERTY slider, 3.2mp camera, microSDHC slot, Wi-Fi and GPS. It runs Google's Android OS (on a 800Mhz processor). It costs 179.99$ with a two-year contract.

There are rumors that Sony Ericsson are working on a new Symbian mobile phone (the Kurara) with a 3.5" touch AMOLED display, to be released in the first half of 2010. It will also have a 8.1mp camera. We don't have any more details...

About a week ago we reported on a rumored Blackberry OLED watch. It turns out that this is true, although the maker is not RIM but Allerta. The inPulse allows you to view key information from your BlackBerry on your wrist: incoming emails, SMS and calls. It's got a 1.3" full-color OLED.

The inPulse used to cost $149, but it's no longer available.

The Recom Group has a new product - the video name tag, using a 2.8" AMOLED (320x240). It's got 2Gb of internal memory, to store a video and then play it continuously (it can do this for around 6-10 hours between recharges).

They call it "personal signage" and think it'll be useful for waiters, business man, promoters, service reps, etc. The video-name-tag costs 198$.
