MSI has announced their latest MP3 player - the Mega Player 516 - a Bluetooth enabled flash-memory based device. It has a 128x64 PMOLED display.

Philips announced a new phone - the 650. The clamshell phone has an internal LCD display (128x160) and a monochrome (blue) PMOLED sub-display (80x48).

According to Taiwan's Industrial Economics and Knowledge Center (IEK), PMOLED sales in 1H 2004 totalled 1,611 NT$m (a 164% increase over 1H 2003, 610 NT$m). IEK predicts that total sales in 2004 will reach 3.7 NT$m, up 110% from 2003 (1.7 NT$m). The leading Taiwanese OLED maker is RiTDisplay.

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors today announced the newest addition to its Pictiva line of PMOLED graphic display products. The new 80x48 pixel graphics Pictiva display rounds out the company's portfolio of OLED products for flat-screen display applications and is specifically ideal for hand-held electronics and "wearable," miniaturized applications.

Samsung released a new GSM clamshell phone - the SGH-D100A. The phone has an internal LCD display, and an external PMOLED screen (with 256 colors).

The phone also supports Java, email with multiple accounts, tri-band world roaming, MMS, infrared, and voice memo.
