The US Department of Energy (DOE) has released their latest annual report on SSL research and development. It says that their targets are being achieved - but not all in the same product...
Their milestones for 2008 were:
- 80 lm/W efficacy
- 25$ per kilolumen
- 50,000h lifetime
- Warm-white color temperature (less than 5000K)
The DOE has also released new chief priorities. One of them is encouraging more investment for OLED Lighting.
