Universal Display Technology (Jilin)
Universal Display Technology (Jilin) was a Chinese foreign joint venture company.
UDT was aiming to manufacturing OLED displays using inkjet printing technologies.
Univision
Univision Technology (established in Taiwan in 2000) develops, manufactures and markets PMOLED displays. Univision's product line includes full color, multicolor, and monochrome displays. Read more here in our December 2006 company spotlight.
In 2009, Univision was acquired by WiseChip.
US Micro Products
US Micro Products is a manufacturer of custom displays. As a Display ODM, the company combines exceptional technology, customer service and value to deliver the perfect solution.
USMP provides a wide range of standard and custom display and touch technologies that are engineered to fit specific applications.
Varitronix
Established in 1978 by a group of academics from Hong Kong's universities, Varitronix is manufacturer of LCD panels. Varitronix had plans to mass produce PMOLED panels but it seems that they have abandoned those plans now.
VG Scienta
VG Scienta offered vacuum components, surface science instruments and complete design and manufacture of standard and special vacuum systems for scientific use. The company was established as a merger between Vacuum Generators and Gammadata Scienta.
In 2017 VG Scienta merged with Omicron NanoTechnology to create Scienta Omicron.
Vitex Systems
Vitex developed a moisture barrier film used for OLED encapsulation called Vacuum Polymer Technology (VPT). The company says that their barrier is equivalent to glass in terms of water or oxygen penetration and can be applied to flexible substrates or over a finished display.
Vitex has licensed its IP to several companies and in December 2008 said that Samsung, UDC, LG and other companies are all using VPT in OLED products and prototypes. In June 2006 we interviewed Vitex's sales & marketing director.
In 2010, Vitex was acquired by Samsung Mobile Display.
Wan Hsiang OLED
Wan Hsiang OLED was an OLED material maker based in Taiwan. The company provides OEM and ODM services for OLEDs.
The company offered over 100 OLED related materials, which included HTL, HIL, Hosts (fluorescent and phosphorescent), dopants and PLED materials.
It seems as if the company is no longer in business.
