LG has just launched the 55" 55EM9700 OLED TV in Korea (for $10,000), and the company now says that it plans to expand its OLED TV lineup with 40" and 70" models. The larger models will be marketed in the US while the smaller ones will be sold in Korea and Europe.
LG also has actual plans to release the 55" curved OLED TV unveiled at CES. The EA9800 curved TV features an Oxide-TFT WRGB Full-HD OLED panel (like LG's regular OLED TV). It's made from Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastic (CFRP). According to LG, the curved screen "removes any hint of visual distraction to maximize the viewing experience".

This is the future at 70" this will give a cinema feel
1) According to the article, the plans right now are for a 55" curved TV and while this isn't exactly small I still don't see how the curve effect is going to help there.
2) At 70" I think it might be nice, but seriously how many people have enough space in their living room for a 70" TV?
I am happy that LG seems to be agressively pushing OLED TV commercialization now, but with regards to the curved displays, I am not yet convinced that this will be the way to go.
Curved pj screens been in home cinemas for ages this is a natural evolution of the "flat screen"
4k, plz
