New Samsung mid-range phone with a 2.2" OLED coming?

There seems to be several new Samsung phones coming up, according to a recent 'leak'. One of them is the S5050 slider:

It has a 2.2" AMOLED display, 3.2mp camera with LED flash, FM radio/RDS and 50MB internal memory + microSD slot.

Sporting a 3.2 megapixel
camera and touch-sensitive keys below the display it is the first
mid-range handset to feature a 2.2" OLED display. It's not a 3G phone (rather a GSM/GPRS/EDGE - 2.75G). If true than this is rather interesting as it's a mid-range phone with a nice OLED display.

Samsung and UniPixel Will Collaborate on TMOS Display Technology

Uni-Pixel and Samsung announced that they will collaborate on UniPixel's TMOS display etchnology. TMOS (Time Multiplexed Optical Shutter) will potentially bring displays that are lower in cost, have better performance and lower power consumption that LCDs or even OLEDs.

TMOS is based on temporal additive color. Short bursts of red, green and blue light are emitted through the same dot so quickly that the eye also sees them as a single color. But in this case, different durations of red, green and blue create different shades and hues.

Laptop OLED poll closed

Well, the OLED Laptop poll was open for a week, and we got over 100 results. 57% of the people said they are willing to pay 100-250$ extra for an OLED laptop. Obviously our poll is problematic because OLED-Info visitors are likely to want an OLED display... but it still seems to be that adding something like 10%-20% cost to a laptop is something people are willing to pay in exchange for a better display, thinner laptop and better battery life.

The real question is of course whether this is practical... with Sony's 11" OLED TV costing 2500$, it doesn't seem probable that a 14" OLED will add only 250$ cost to a laptop. However the technology is always improving, and it's possible that LG or Samsung will be able to pull off a much cheaper OLED display than Sony's.
