Samsung Mobile Display (SMD), formed in 2008, was owned by Samsung Electronics (64%) and Samsung SDI (36%), and was the world's largest OLED producer (both AMOLEDs and PMOLEDs). In July 2012 Samsung Mobile Display was merged into Samsung Display.
