Huawei's Mate 20 Pro is a high-end smartphone that features a 6.39" 1440x3120 (538 PPI) AMOLED display produced by both BOE and LGD, an Octa-Core Kirin 980 (7 nm) chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, an NM (Nano-Memory) card slot and a triple Leica optics camera setup.
The Mate 20 Pro is now shipping, starting at around $950 (note: affiliate link to Amazon).
The Mate 20 Pro is the first smartphone to adopt Synaptics' complete display system solution - which includes Synaptics' flexible chip-on-film (COF) ClearView display driver and the company's ClearPad touch controllers.
Some early Mate 20 Pro users complained about a green tint in the smartphone's 6.39" 1440x3120 AMOLED display. It turns out that the faulty displays were the ones produced by LG Display. It seems as if the problem is not the OLED panel itself, but its assembly and contacts.
