Exploration of quantum materials â New paths to realizing innovative optoelectronic components (ELQ-LED) is a joint-project supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and led by Merck with an aim to conduct basic research on quantum materials as light emitting sources. ELQ-LED is a three-year project that will end on the summer of 2020.
The project's partners are Merck, OSRAM OLED, the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research, the University of Augsburg, Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, and Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. The total project's budget is â¬9.1 million, out of which â¬5.5 million is provided by BMBF.
