Ergis

Ergis group logoPoland-based The Ergis Group is a leader in plastics processing that is active in many markets, such as food packaging, medical and protective films, industrial films, automotive films and decorative films.

In 2020 Ergis launched its first product for the display market, the noDiffusion encapsulation film for flexible OLED displays and lighting panels. The films offer very high transparency and excellent barrier properties. Ergis also offers similar films for the flexible photovoltaic industry.

Evonik

Evonik LogoEvonik, based in Germany, is a multi-national specialty chemicals company. The company focuses on high-growth sectors, especially health, nutrition, resource efficiency and globalization.

The company developed a new oxide-TFT backplane material (iXsenic S) and a solvent-based process. iXsenic S offers a performance that is high enough to drive high-resolution LCD and OLED displays and can be used in a low-cost coating-based deposition process.

FlexEnable

FlexEnable logoFlexEnable develops OTFT-based backplanes for flexible displays, suitable for both EPD and OLED technologies. The company was spun-off from Plastic Logic in February 2015 to further develop the technology and license it for display makers.

In 2014 Plastic Logic demonstrated flexible AMOLED prototypes built on their OTFT backplanes. The company also engaged with graphene-based display backplanes. FlexEnable was collaborating with CPT to develop flexible OLED dispalys based on OTFT backplanes.

GigaDisplay Semiconductor

GigaDisplay Semiconductor logoChina-based GigaDisplay Semiconductor develops display driver ICs, offering drivers for both mobile AMOLED panels and OLED microdisplays.

In February 2018 GigaDisplay demonstrated its microdisplay drivers and plans to achieve mass production by the end of 2018.

Hunetplus

Korea-based Hunetplus develops high-end technologies and core process materials for the display industry. Honetplus develops high-precision fine metal masks (FMM) for OLED deposition.

Kangde Xin Composite Material Group (KDX)

China-based Kangde Xin Composite Material Group (KDX) is China's largest optical film supplier that produces over 700 film types for a wide range of applications - from printing and packaging to window films and display films.

For the OLED industry, KDX provides barrier (encapsulation) film and tapes, flexible touch films and flexible substrate coating films.

Lotus Applied Technology

Lotus Applied Technology logoLotus Applied Technology was established in 2007 in the USA as a spin-off of the thin film process group within Planar Systems.

Lotus develops innovative solutions to thin film processing challenges, and is focused on ALD equipment, including ones for roll to roll production of encapsulation layers for OLED panels and other devices.

LX Semicon

Korea-based LX Semicon (previously Silicon Works) was established in 1999 as a IC technology developer for display panels. Silicon Works is a fabless company that suppliers ICs for TVs, monitors, laptops, mobile devices, automotive, lighting and battery devices.

LX Semicon provides AMOLED drivers for smartphones and VR/AR devices.
