Dietmar Thomas, Manager Brand & Integrated Communication OLED at Philips: which means basically making noise for OLED lighting and being a good ambassador worldwide. In my position I switch frequently from being the OLED spokesperson to being a writer about OLED lighting and being a lecturer. In addition I oversee the communication on Lumiblade’s social media channels as well as setting up the new marketing material and campaigns⦠You get the idea.
What was the last book you read? Tom Clancy Command Authority although fiction and a couple of years old, unfortunately very close to today’s events in East Europe.
And the last movie you saw? Taken 3 I love Liam Neeson, no matter what he playsâ¦
Tell us a couple of things you have on your desk at work: The OLED Handbook and a couple of other OLED related magazines, too many piles of paper I still have to go through as well as the first drafts of new ads for OLED lighting. And a box with chocolate in the case I am getting hungry⦠Not good for my figure though.
What’s your favorite food? Difficult, as I enjoy all kind of food as long as it is fresh. I would probably say Chinese food and a good steak.
What was your latest travel destination? Berlin for the New Year’s eve. Wonderful city and truly a metropolis in the realm of Paris, New York or London
What was the last music CD you listened to? Michael Bublé Ultimate Collection
What is the object you'd most like to 3D print? My son - for having him around all day
Who would you most like to sit next to on a long flight? (dead or alive)Danny Kaye and Peter Ustinov (unfortunately both dead)
What are you most excited about regarding OLEDs in the future? OLEDs will make for new applications and bring light into places at this moment not associated with light at all!
