OSD sees strong Q1 2005 with new design wins
One Stop Displays say that early Q1 2005 design wins will make Q1 business it's highest yet. OSD sales increased 15% over expectations.
The company expects industry growth in automotive audio to boost sales again before the end of the year. The company says that OLED technology improvements are in route to exceed most automotive requirements within typical automotive design cycles.
ABI Research says PMOLED panel for automobiles to grow in popularity
PMOLED panels have started to appear in cars. In fact, three new automobiles (the Aston-Martin DB9, the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Chevrolet Corvette) features PMOLED displays. ABI research says that such OLED car displays have one main advantages, they last longer than the lamps used to illuminate conventional dashboards.
While the PMOLEDs cost more than conventional dashboards, fewer warranty claims can save a lot of money for luxury car manufacturers and dealers, and greater satisfaction for customers. The PMOLEDs used in those three cars above were made by Yazaki Corporation.
