Last month during a trade show, AU Optronics had several AMOLED panel on display, including the 1.63" 320x320 and 5" 720p ones currently in mass production. AUO also showed the 5" 720p flexible AMOLED shown below and a 5.7" WQHD panel.
According to OLEDNET, AUO is now focusing on flexible AMOLEDs, and the company will drive more resources towards developing flexible panels in 2015.
The 5" panel features a resolution of 720p (1280x720, 295 PPI) and uses a top-emission OLED architecture, side-by-side direct emission pixels and a plastic substrate. The panel is 0.35 mm thick, and can be bent around the edges of a cell phone (similar to Samsung's recently announced Note 4 Edge).
