"Upon the market situation, we will gradually expand the 2.0-inch AM OLED production by constructing additional lines,’’ a Samsung SDI official said Wednesday, adding the production capacity of its line in the city reaches a maximum of 1.5 million units per month.
"We have already received pre-orders from 10 local and overseas mobile manufacturers and now are in the process of meeting the deadline" the official said.
LG Electronics was also considering expanding its AM OLED production capacity by as much as 2.4 million units per year in the long-term perspective, according to company sources.

Sony released plans for the SonyDrive XEL-1, the first ever OLED TV. It's 3mm thin, 11" 960x540 television. With 1,000,000:1 contrast ration, terrestrial digital tuner, speakers, HDMI, USB and Ethernet jacks. It weights 2kg and will have a retail price of about $1,750$ when it is released in December, Japan only.
