4D Systems launches new serial graphics controller for OLEDs and LCDs

4D Systems has announced a new serial graphic controller designed for their µOLED and µLCD display panel. The controller provides a simple, flexible and effective, low-cost graphics user interface solution for rapid application development and time-to-market.

The new chip includes several built-in features such as graphics, text, image, animation and sound generation, supports up to 256x256 resolution, and includes new software tools.

The GOLDELOX-SGC comes in a tiny 6x6mm 28pin QFN package. 4D Systems also offers a selection of OLED modules in a variety of sizes for evaluation purposes or for integration into various applications as embedded components. Current sizes include uOLED-96-G1 (96x64, 0.96), uOLED-128-G1 (128x128, 1.5) and 1.7.
