United Airlines has ordered Panasonic Avionics' Astrova aircraft internal entertainment platform to be installed at United's new Airbus A321XLR and Boeing 787, starting in 2025.
Panasonic's Astrova platform is based on 4K OLED displays. United did not specify which OLED sizes will be used, but we know that Panasonic offers 13-, 16- and 22-inch options for regular (economy) passenger seats (while it offers 19-, 22-, 27-, 32- and 42-inch for business-class seats, these displays were just announced a few days ago).
The announcement from United says that the order in total is for almost 300,000 screens, which we're not sure that really make sense - United entire fleet is around 800 planes, which is quite a bit less than 300,000 passenger seats. But United does say that this is the largest ever order for Panasonic, and United does plan to install the screens at both its international and domestic fleets.
Beyond the excellent image quality of the 4K OLED displays, the Astrova platform offers weight reduction (compared to LCD options), and Bluetooth connectivity built into the displays.

"United Airlines to install 4K OLED passenger seats displays at its new aircrafts"
Aircraft is its own plural. Like spacecraft and fish and fruit and many other english words.
