CLAP

CLAP logoKorea-based CLAP develops materials and solutions for the organic semiconductors and display industries. The company has over 700 patents.

In 2019 the company signed an agreement with BASF that enables CLAP to manufacture optical films using BASF's Liquid Crystal materials and coating technology. In 2022 CLAP announced it developed a liquid crystal based OLED retardation film.

Cynora

Cynora logoCynora, established in 2003 in Germany, was a developer of materials for OLEDs and OPVs. Cynora started out to develop copper-based OLED compounds, in addition to developing flexible OLED and OPV technologies.

The company later changed direction and focused on TADF OLED emitters, specifically aiming to develop an efficient blue emitter. The company hoped to have a commercial blue by 2017, but it was not successful.

Dexerials

Dexerials started its way as Sony Chemicals Corporation, a Sony subsidiary that developed and produced materials. The company was spun-off in 2012 and later went public. Dexerials produces a range of materials, including electronic components, bonding materials and optics materials.

For the OLED industry, the company offers a wide range of materials, including optical films, conductive films, anti-reflection films, adhesives, tapes and more. 

Dowoo Insys

Korea-based Dowoo Insys, established in 2010, is a developer and supplier of glass products for the display industry.

Dowoo Insys develops ultra-thin glass covers for foldable OLED displays. The company provides its glass, which is a treated Schott Glass UTG, to Samsung Display.

 

Samsung Display was the largest shareholder in Dowoo Insys, but it sold its shares to New Power Plasma. Dowoo Insys plans to IPO in 2025.

DS Neolux

DS Neolux logoKorea-based DS Neolux, owned by Duksan Hi-Metal (part of the DS Holdings group) produces a wide range of OLED materials.

DS Neolux's main materials ETL, EIL, HTL and HIL. The company also produces a red OLED host materiel and CPL protective layers for AMOLED displays.

DS Neolux is a public company in Korea (213420.KQ).

Duksan Hi-Metal

Duksan Hi-Metal logoDuksan Hi-Metal (part of the DS Group) is a material maker based in Korea, involved in two segments - semiconductor and OLED materials. Duksan produces OLED materials and is a supplier of Samsung Display.

Back in 2008, Duksan bought the Ludis OLED business unit of Sinsung ENG and this is the basis of their AMOLED business unit. The company currently produces many OLED stack materials (but not emitters).

In September 2012 Duksan was contracted by UDC to produce OLED host materials in Korea.

Dynic

Dynic logoDynic Corporation is a multinational company based in Japan, focusing on coating, coloring, laminating and embossing.

Dynic's USA branch has a range of desiccant ("Humidity Getter") products called HG Sheets that are aimed for OLED production.

Dyotechlife

India-based Dyotechlife Pvt is an integrated research, development, and manufacturing organization, specializing in organic electronics materials and diagnostics materials, with services and production ranging from early discover to commercial supply. 

For the OLED industry, Dyotechlife offers OLED intermediates, OLED stack materials, TADF emitters, and more.
