BenQ Materials

BenQ Materials logoTaiwan-based BenQ Materials specializes in material science and is the world's 4th largest polarizer maker. The company is active with several markets, including medical care, batteries and consumer electronics.

For the OLED industry, BenQ Materials offers a bendable circular polarizer and is developing polarizers for foldable devices. The company is also developing micro-patterned films for color shift improvements in OLED displays.

BLD Pharmatech

Established in 2014 and headquartered in Shanghai, China, BLD Pharmatech Ltd. offers an extensive selection of diversified research chemicals, scale-up manufacturing and custom services.

For the OLED industry, BLD Pharmatech offers TADF OLED materials, and other OLED stack materials.

Boron Molecular

Boron Molecular logoBoron Molecular, based in Australia, is a small chemical company that offers a range of early and late stage intermediates for several markets - such as the pharmaceutical, medicinal and OLED displays markets.

In addition to the OLED intermediate chemicals, the company also manufactures a large number of custom molecules to support their OLED customers.

C3Nano

C3Nano, a spin out Stanford University, develops a proprietary hybrid carbon nanotube (CNT) based transparent electrode ink and film that can be used as an alternative to ITO for flexible OLEDs, solar cells and other applications.

C3Nano is also offering a hard coat film for flexible device that offers an ultra-thin, scratch resistant, and high hardness coating. Visionox is using C3Nano's coating in its foldable screens.

In February 2012 C3Nano raised $6.7 million towards commercialization of their ink product.

Cambrios

Cambrios, established in 2002 in California, develops silver-nanowire based transparent electrodes for consumer devices. The first product, ClearOhm, a coating material that produces a transparent, conductive film by wet processing, can be used to create touch panels for OLED panels, LCDs, e-paper displays and also as conductive electrodes in solar panels.

Cambrios collaborates with Plextronics on OLED lighting electrodes. The company raised $5 million from Samsung in February 2012. In February 2016 the company was liquidated but then revived as Cambrios Advanced Materials.

Canon

Canon logoJapan-based Canon is a multinational corporation that specializes in the manufacture of imaging and optical products. Canon is active across many fields, including the display market.

Canon has two subsidiaries active with OLED equipment. Canon Tokki produces vacuum process equipment and is considered to be the world's leader in OLED deposition equipment. Canon Anelva manufactures vacuum equipment including Physical vapor deposition (PVD) machines for OLED production.

 

In early 2020 Canon announced that it may enter into the OLED materials market, with its subsidiary Fukui Canon Materials taking the lead with a collaboration with Canon's own internal R&D team.

ChangChem

ChangChem logoChina-based ChangChem, established in 2000, develops and sells fine organic compounds and intermediates for the pharmaceutical and OLED industries.

 

Changchun Tuo Cai Technology

Changchun Tuo Cai Technology, based in Changchun, China, was established in 2017 to produce and supply chemicals for the display, batteries and biochemistry markets.

For the OLED industry, CTCT offers OLED stack materials (HTL, HIL, ETL), host materials and OLED intermediates.

ChemPacific

ChemPacific logoChemPacific is a service driven company founded in 1995 and located in Baltimore, MD with a subsidiary in Zhejiang, China. The company provides small molecule organic synthesis custom manufacturing services, and their core competency is based on organic chemistry expertise as well as scale up technology.

ChemPacific produces several types of electronic materials and OLED intermediates, and are supplying those materials to leading electronic and OLED companies in the US.
