Samsung has published a new concept translator device (which they call the 'real translator') - which uses a transparent display (which can be an LCD or an AMOLED). The idea is that when you talk to someone you can get real-time translation (via voice recognition) on the display, and because it's transparent it can show translations for both speakers at the same time:
It's a nice concept, although when you think about it the transparent display isn't really useful here (why would I want to see the text of the language I do not understand, and flipped?). In any case, this was designed for Samsung's "design your display" contest.
